[25th Dec] Typography is an up-and-coming obsession of mine. I wish I could take some sort of class on it, but I have no talent for Adobe Photoshop and am only rarely creative. Buh. It would still be nice to know the art. On the other hand, I want to buy books like crazy. My mom got me Strunk and White's The Elements of Style, illustrated by Maira Kalman. This makes me cry in glee. If only the hardcover edition were available! Kalman is one of my heroes and since I was little, I've read Max in Hollywood, Baby and Ooh-la-la, Max in Love. I've always loved the ironic similarity between the name Max and the name Max (of my brother). Staying up late makes me feel full of love when I'm home. I want to share this happiness but everyone's asleep! [respond| write, execute]
